Working Title: Over the Downs

Over the Downs traverses the landscape I have grown up around, from horseback. All shot on a 35mm point-and-shoot camera, I return to the same two routes week after week.

Witnessing the subtle seasonal shifts, this work explores the idea of journeying through the familiar, inviting the viewer to slow down and embrace a patient reflection on place, memory, and the passing of time.

Working Title: Residuals

Residuals is a project that explores what happens to spaces once they become unlived in. Developed during a period of transition in my father’s life, as he prepares to sell his home and move to another country, the project asks whether an inhabited space can continue to hold memory after it has been vacated. Do we ever truly leave a mark?
