Working Title: Photobook For My Nan

Photobook For My Nan is a series of deteriorating prints, accidentally created following a series of failed attempts to create a photobook for my nan.

Intending to be a gift recounting a recent trip to Italy, this pile of distressed images - created through a stop-and-start process of printer-related mishaps - recounts a week in September exploring the Amalfi coast on a coach trip with my nan. 

The now deteriorated, formerly idyllic, Italian coastal scenes expose the temporality of time. Memories crumble into half-recalled ideals, fragmented by a wistful idealisation that strays further from intention with each passing day.
